Now, animal behaviour researchers have taken this advice and discovered that the whimsical adventures of the famous cartoon cat and mouse dyad are closer to reality than previously believed.
A study has found that, much like Jerry, real-life mice are naturally evasive and able to cannily escape capture. It is the first evidence of intentional tactical deception seen in mice, scientists believe.
