LinkedIn has been trying to get along with the cool kids over the last year or so. Back in 2018, the company started off by adding support for GIFs in messages, introduced a Stories-like feature aimed at students called Student Voices, and then added Snapchat-like location filters to videos.
And now, LinkedIn is testing Stories on its app internally. The company announced that the new feature is currently under testing, and it could be available to all users “in the coming months”.
Of course, Stories in a professional context can be very weird. Stories are often meant to be a fun, ephemeral of sharing updates with your network, and LinkedIn isn’t the best place for “fun”. LinkedIn has an answer to that, however.
